Once upon a time, in a dense forest, a clever fox and a fierce tiger lived among other animals. The tiger was known for his strength and ferocity, while the fox was admired for his cunning and intelligence.
One day, the tiger, after a failed hunt, was wandering through the forest, hungry and irritable. He came across the fox and decided to make him his meal. The fox, sensing the danger, quickly thought of a plan.
As the tiger approached, the fox stood tall and said in a commanding voice, “Oh, mighty tiger! How dare you come near me with such intent? Don’t you know I am the king’s messenger?”
The tiger paused, confused. “The king’s messenger? What king are you talking about?”
“The king of the jungle, of course!” the fox replied confidently. “He has appointed me to protect this part of the forest, and he will be furious if you harm me. Do you really wish to face his wrath?”
The tiger, though strong, was not very clever and started to doubt his decision. “If you are truly the king’s messenger, you must prove it,” he said.
Thinking quickly, the fox said, “Follow me, and I will show you proof.” The fox led the tiger deep into the forest until they reached a clearing where a group of hunters had set up traps.
As they neared, the fox whispered, “See those traps? The king placed them here to catch anyone who dares to question his authority. If you still doubt me, go ahead and step forward.”
The tiger, seeing the traps and recalling stories of humans, grew terrified. “I believe you!” he exclaimed. “Please forgive me. I will never doubt you or your authority again.”
With that, the tiger ran off, leaving the fox smiling to himself. The clever fox had once again outwitted danger using his wit and presence of mind.
From that day forward, the tiger always treated the fox with respect, and the fox continued to live safely in the forest, proving that intelligence often triumphs over brute strength.
